Optimist (7 sailboats)
This class of sailboats was created in the late 1950s by sailboats designer Clark Mills from Florida. The Optimist was upgraded to perfection in Denmark in 1961. They are designed for children between the ages of 7 and 14.
Until 1970, these sailboats were made of fiberglass. Then, it was decided to manufacture the Optimists from aluminum.
Optimists are designed for 1 person. In 1972, these sailboats received international status.
